I clean mine after every fishing trip.  I make sure all the sand and junk is washed and wiped clean.  Then I spray a few drops of Armor All underneath the handle and apply some a around the gasket.  This is a plastic part so WD 40 will not work as good.

I found out if I do this, it feels like its brand new.
I agree.  A few drops of Armor All also does the trick for me when the handle gets tough to turn.

I've been having the same problem myself. One time I could not open the hatch
at all and Saltydog was there to witness it. When I first bought the Revo, I would
open the center hatch to let it air out while storing. Perhaps that may have started the problem for me. Thanks for all the tips on how to fix this issue fellas.
