go to lowes in the paint dept. 5 quart plastic bucket, step 1 take handle off and discard it, step 2 take razor and cut off were handle went, step 3 cut out a 1"x3" section at the top of the bucket, step 4  put in kayak and step back and look at all the room for 4 dollars

Went to Lowe's this morning and picked up 2 of the paint buckets.  It took about 5 minutes each to make the cuts and now I have great gear buckets in the middle and rear hatch of my Revo.  The depth of the buckets is perfect.  The bottom just touches the hull of the yak in the center which will help carry the load on the rim of the hatch.
