The Punisher... my new Dino Club

In the intereste of energy conservation, I decided to make me a new Dino club.

 My old one... made out of the largest hammer handle I could find... required everything you had in you in order to even make a dent in a Dino helmet.  My right forearm was cramped for about two days after laying into that big hog a few weeks ago.

I have arrived at what I have named "The Punisher" ...   Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh!  (Evil laugh)

18" x 3/4" galvanized pipe with a pipe cap on one end.  3M Safety Walk grip tape handle with a butt cap and lanyard.  This one will be efficient to say the least.  If it doesn't, an added ounce or two of lead in the business end should make it very effective.

A+ posting as usual, but I'm giving you a C- for the onomatopeia. that does not sound
like an evil laugh at all!  more like an orangutang!

had about 12 two-year olds.  .

How about a posting on floating rods or rod leashes, etc. How do you stop from losing your
rods to the bottom, I'd like to hear that one. I recall you were going to look into that one.

I've been halving pool noodle, marine gooping it, then ziptying. how about a pressure sensitve
canister of C02 in the handle, when it feels itself sinking, it goes off, putting a balloon out the
handle end, and floating your rig to the surface. kind of like an airbag,  .

Ouch... missing and whacking your own knee with that club  is a scary thought.  I actually did that last year when I tried to subdue a flopping 20 lb salmon.  I was so amped on adrenaline I didn't feel it at first, but I was all bruised up afterwards.

Erik, you might want to carry that picture of you clubbing the sturgeon in your glove box to back up your argument.

Erik, the more I look at your Punisher... the more I want to make one.
Where did you get your butt cap and how did you secure it and the wrist strap?

The butt cap is an el-cheapo fishing rod butt cap that I had in my rodbuilding suppy stock. 

I'd give you one if I had another one, but I don't have any more that are large enough.  It is just press fit over the grip... no adhesive necessary.  I bet you could find something in a hardware store or pharmacy that might work... such as a rubber end for crutches.

The wrist strap has a knot in the other end and a metal washer to ensure it doesn't pull through the hole in the butt cap.
