Just wondering if anybody is going to give it a try. Would like to go, but looking for company. If the weather is good, I think launching from beach will shorten the distance by a 3rd. Any thoughts or advice on that would be great.

I'm thinking about going back down for try #3 tmw but am waiting to hear any news from today. Yesterday there was a report that said the guy only saw one caught but I don't know any more details than that.

Do you have any intel from yesterday or today? Looked into parking at hmb state beach but it's $10 and gate doesn't open until 8am so that's a no go. Do you know specifically which road/beach is good for a launch before sunrise besides the harbor area? Thanks. jim

I'll be out there. Gonna stick with the easy launch. Never know what kinda weight you might be towing back. Just ask Allen. Imagine a surf landing with that load!...

I already made some arrangement with my childcare so I'll be there as well to try
my luck. I will be sleeping with my toes and fingers crossed for tomorrow. :smt005 :smt005

My son and I both start school on wedsday, so I may stay around here and fish with him. He doesn't want to go out on big blue in a yak. Sometimes he gets a little green and in a yak we can't just turn around and go back. Still thinking on it. Either way good luck and post your results!!
