Oops...damaged freezer question.
« on: July 24, 2010, 01:23:53 pm »
I was just prying some squid out of my chest freezer and pierced the interior lining, the shiny metallic coating. It doesn't look that bad, but I can see some sort of foam insulation underneath.
Anyway, what now? Is it leaking CFCs? Any way I can fix it myself or should I pay to have it fixed?

Bonehead move, I know.

I would try "Duct" tape first  :smt003

Yup, good old duct tape.  I did that with a small refrig.  You would only leak CFC's if you broke one of the pipes!
