RacinRobs first fish on the Big Blue...7/18

Well Sunday rolled around after PIF I told rob I was sleeping till @ least 9am...left Thur @ midnight to drive down to the bean...stayed up way to late Fri with 2hrs of sleep...finally got with the program @ noon...

BigJim got tied up doing family stuff so he couldn't give us a guided trip...told us to walk right down to the beach and put right in....NOT...life guard walks up and says...nope...I say "tell me you haven't seen this BIG GUY named BIGJIM putting in her all the time" guys Say's "well if you get here before we open up, your good"...lady walks up and tells me they put in south of the guard and when they blew their whistle they just kept going   Well I'm not into causing probs if they can be avoided said no problem...we will just walk a little further... and walk we did...   Rob was concerned about putting in of the Dock...I said were in for new experiences...Rob's ride made it down the ramp just fine...mine we had to take the wheelez off to get down...Oh met some local dudes...talked a bit...rob heard they were Boycotting NCKA...must have something to do about that gig that's going off sametime as bloodbaths in Oct...   I got some intell from the boys anyways...seemed alright...but if there into trash talking NCKA...glad i didn't hear it...

we paddle out to some flat/well choppy for there...conditions...rob tied off to some kelp and got slammed right away...me I've got a sabiki going and get pounded by something big...Dolphins were chasing bait out in front of us and at one time the both jetted parallel wish I could of got a pic of that...PB'ers were trying to make bait and go hit the stripper bite going off @ New Brighton Beach...had some killer live tunes off the wharf all day long...I'm telling ya there are no FISH IN Capitola...   instead of going back up the ramp we did a beach landing and there was a pretty good shore break happening!!! I came in on the north side and got sideways all the way up the shore...had a rooting section one guy yells out "THAT'S THE WAY YOU DO IT" and I yell back "HELL Yeah!!!"  Rob handled his first outing with class and his landing was better than mine...WTG Rob...it was nice of you to put up with me...I felt sort of out of it...if you couldn't tell.........let's do it again some time...but UP HERE where I know where the fishys lie......So next time I see ya...We Will Diffenantly "Get Some"  thanks Bro...

All and all it was nice to be fishing on such a beautiful day...on the jaunt back through the local shops I got a few "Go Raiders"...Peace out!!!

Next time u need to come up here...casper, Russian Gulch, Ocean Cove...many choices...I've got so mannnnny way points...well it's 5:30am I'm out the door laters...

Watch out RacinRobs that salt water fishing can be addictive....

Nice work Rob...any day you get out OTW is a good day in my book!! Was really bummed I couldn't join you guys, but I definitely needed to make a deposit into the WAF account after how much time I have spent fishing/paddling recently!!

Looking forward to next time we get a chance to fish together!

I drained my WAF on Sunday by leaving her at the motorhome. She said it was OK. Then she went to the beach looking for us on the water. Tried calling me too. She had to work early Mon morn and we didn't get home till after midnight. The good news is she still wants to try out a Hobie. I'm thinking she would like a Trident.

I've only been married for 3 1/2. Haven't learned yet. Oh, I forgot to mention, we've been together since 1988. I do what I do. Then deal with it later. She wasn't too upset. She didn't want to shore launch or land.
