BAY AREA PADDLEFEST: Quarry Lakes, Fremont Sat 5/1 & Sun 5/2

The annual Bay Area Paddlefest has been resurrected.  It's the one place to demo the newest kayaks, canoes, and stand up paddle boards.  There are also on-water and on-land clincs and seminars.

I've been recruited by Hobie and California Canoe & Kayak to do the following clinics:

"Rigging Your Fishing Kayak" Sat & Sun 1:00 - 2:00
"On-Water Kayak Fishing Clinic"  Sat & Sun 2:30 - 3:45

Mooch and Fishunter will be there as well to help and represent NCKA.  Manufacturers like Hobie, Ocean Kayak, Wilderness Systems, Native Watercraft, Emotion, Eddyline, Hurricane, Kokatat, Werner, Carlisle, Aquabound will be there.  Retailers include CCK, Aquan Sports, and Sunrise Mountain Sports.

For sure.  There should be at least one of everything is Hobie's fleet.

is there going to be a charge to try kayaks?   

it say for demo and classes it is 30 bones a day and parking

Quarry Lakes Regional Recreation Area Fees
•Quarry Lakes Parking Fee:  $5 per vehicle
•Quarry Lakes Beach Access Fee:  $2 (15 yrs and younger), $3 (16-61 yrs), $2 (62 yrs and up)
•Canoe/Kayak Launch Fee for private boats $2 (if you bring your own boat)
•Canoe/Kayak Inspection Fee for private boats $3 (if you bring your own boat)

2010 Bay Area Paddlefest Fees•General Admission to Exhibitor Area:  Free (Quarry Lakes Fees above still apply)
•Unlimited Demo Fee:  $10/day
•Unlimited Demo Fee for kids under 13:  $5/day
•Unlimited Demo, Classes & Clinics: $30/day
•Full Weekend Pass: $50
