Intresting, it will be fun to see where the research leads.  The Australian Aboriginies have almost the same story of a great flood in their "dream time".  They were told to climb one of the highest mountains to escape the flood which was coming.  The entire earth flooded, and they came down when the water receeded.  That would be a long time on my P13.  Maybe all us NCKA can raft together and have a tourney to pass the time  :smt003

Seems like most cultures have a similar tale.  The South American Indians also.  Most likely we have had a couple world wide tsunamis.  Big meteorite hit and the earth wobbles, ocean keeps going the same direction before wobble.  Theory of why the coal seams in the East are formed.  Most are all at the same elevation and it would take a large wave to pile up the amount of wood it takes to make a coal seam.  There has been speculation for many years that items seen on Mt. Ararat were an ark.  But due to politics no one has been allowed to climb the mountain.

There is plausible evidence of a great flood dispersing a large population.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Sea_deluge_theory

Also, any link to the Sun should be to page 3 (NSFW - don't try it at work or in front of the wife/kids).  Mmmmmm, page 3.  ::lecherous smiley::
