For those of you who are not on our mailing list:

Coon Camp Springs, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) that performs wildlife habitat restoration. We are a completely all volunteer organization. Our accomplishments, which are many, have been achieved through the donations of money and labor by people who believe in our goals. We are in the process of running a funding campaign for this year's projects. In particular, we are looking for donations to help us on a wetland restoration project that we are conducting this year with the assistance of California Waterfowl Association.
As we are a registered non-profit, any monetary donations are tax deductible. We have two very easy methods for donating which are both located on our web page Coon Camp Springs The first is a donation button which will take you to our PayPal account. A donation will automatically generate a receipt which can be used when claiming the deduction. The second method is the link to our Ebay store. We presently have our Coon Camp Springs T-shirts listed. For every donation of $37.50, you will receive a T-shirt and a receipt which again, you can use when claiming the deduction.

And of course, we welcome anyone who wants to come up and join in on the fun. We have regular work weekends around 3 days weekends (Memorial Day and Labor Day) and smaller ones on regular weekends. Our gatherings are about 50/50 work and play. Besides working for the benefit of the wildlife, we target practice with guns and bows, we chase coyotes, we eat like there is no tomorrow, down a few drinks and usually have a pretty good time. Unfortunately, your time can not be claimed on taxes but the mileage and any in-kind contributions can be claimed.

We know the economy is tight but if you can help us out with a weekend or two or by making a donation, it will be greatly appreciated and it will definitely go for to a good cause.

This is a very good cause and I will be contributing shortly. Any more news on the eagle lake hookup and shoot to thrill, Dave?

Thanks Randall! It looks like there isn't much interest in my Eagle Lake idea.

Dave,

I will be making a donation here shortly (I want that Tee!) but myself, and at least two of my friends are interested in coming up and helping out around the camp and would probably be interested in thecoyotes, as well! Are they any sort of nuisance around the camp?

When do you think the next CCS get together will be (besides this one coming up May 1st)?

Thanks and we appreciate what you're doing!

Rock Hopper, thank you so much for any donation and thanks for the interest. The next major gathering is over the Memorial Day weekend (same weekend Eagle Lake opens up for fishing). I am up there two weekends a month besides the big gatherings. This Memorial weekend, I will be up there from the 28th through the first. The coyotes are not a nuisance around the camp except for getting into trash. They do occasionally come through camp at night and set off the "camp dog" alarm. Their biggest nuisance is taking down fawns. I find fawn carcasses every year. So, we have an open season on them. I have had a couple guys come up in the past who were good at calling them in and cleaned up on them. During the spring time, we also have a new infestation of ground squirrels that can be thinned out.
I do not think you are on my project mailing list. Email me and I will add you to my list so that you get my announcements.
