Stormscrambler and I share last names, and as rare as the name Storm is, we are not related (at least that either one is aware of).

Here, I'll just copy and paste from the ORIGINAL thread:   :smt044

Mine's  a carry over from Pierfishing.com.

When I first started getting back into fishing I spent most of my time learning how to fish the jettys at Doran Park. A few of my friends and I can pretty much run down the length of the jetty we've spent so much time on it.

Hence the name - Rock Hopper.

Rock Hopper,
Funny you mention Pierfishing.com - Ken Jones (of pierfishing.com) is a regular customer here in Fresno and just gave a seminar (F.W.) on March 25. I was actually suprised to see the crowd he drew. Great guy with a lot of knowledge.
Sorry for the thread jack :smt002

Yup, Ken's a great guy. In PFIC Volume Two there is a picture of me holding a striper for the Berkeley Pier section. On the same page are pics of my friend Monte next to my pier cart, and a picture of my friend Pat holding a striper. I took both those pics. There's also a few other pictures that I took in that book, but I'm not sure of exact page numbers...lol.

I lived in NYC for 10yrs and I love the slang there like "Yo, lets go to da Bronx"..."F' daMayor" so I, took DaBlazer cause I own a S-10 Blazer at the time.  :bom: The 2004 came later. Of course, there are others who think it means something else...like getting "BLAZED"  :smt044

My second one, is just my First name and middle initial.  Which is already a  mistake since I was aiming to use Dale D, but got confused and ended up with L instead of D, (last initial). Brain fart.

None of which is very interesting,

However the change from the original "delladl" (my old work ID)  was prompted by meeting Chris (kingfisher) at an MLPA meeting. He said "oh yea I know you you're Dee-Lay-del", or at least that's how it sounded to me, that combined with a couple of attempts at explaining it to other NCKAers I'd met convinced me I should change it to something pronounceable.

CGN-38 was the ship I was on while in the navy.  Cruiser, guided missile, nuclear powered, seemed a little more nautical for use on the water than my previous jprtroy (Short for Jeeper) and I think it looks much cooler on my hull.
