Yes open ocean side it is but compared to the coast the vis is great even on island crappy days.

I would like to start getting some input from those that have made this trip before. Can we bring coolers? Ice? How much camping gear do we really need? Can we catch live bait? What kind of tackle to bring?

Sounds like it will be a blast so I want to be prepared.
