NCKA member Amadeo Bachar (ab10) recently uploaded this video showing his watercolor painting process from a rough outline to finish product.  Besides the fact that I think he's insanely talented, I thought the video itself was really cool!

I sat here in awe while watching that video.
I cannot even imagine what must go through a person's head dreaming up something like that much less making it happen. It's a dimension of thought that I know I will never visit.
Is that a special set of water colors?? I swear it looks like something I used to get at the 5 and dime when I was a kid....Yea...5 and dime...I am sure some of you will know what I am talking about.

You can buy empty palettes that look like what he's using and then you add your water colors to it. Good watercolors come in dropper bottles like Dr. Ph. Martin's. Although, I wouldn't be surprised if it is a cheapo set. Like they say, it's not the equipment, it's the person using it. I'm pretty sure ab10 could make a masterpiece with a half melted box of Crayolas.

Thank you all very much.  Zee pretty much nailed it.  I just steal crayons from my niece, melt them down then go to town.  hahahaha.  I actually use good watercolors now, especially because I'm selling more originals and I need pigments that will hold up over time.  I'd like people to be able to give their paintings to their Grandkids.
