Oahu
« on: February 08, 2010, 09:41:28 pm »
Here for the week.  Pearl Harbor today, water tomorrow.   Water is a little cool, maybe 70.  Did bring the spring suit.  Going to the East side tomorrow.  May rent at Kailua kayak.  Depends if the beach is safe.  They have a lot of Box Jelly right now.  Hanauama Bay (sp?) was closed yesterday due to lots of jelly.  But the 78-81 degree sunny weather with a slight sprinkle yesterday beats the heck out of California weather at the money.  Did bring the Abu 6000 and the med. Heavy bass traveling rod, and some swim baits and crocs.  :smt001
Mahalo, and aloha.

Did not fish, but rented a Spectrum Tandem at Kailua Kayak.  Wind, and the spectrum is a barge.  We ended up walking it up the beach a short distance to the canal, as could not keep up with the wind, and pushing us in to the marked swimming area.  Big fines for boating inside the buoys.  Box Jelly show up for 2-3 days after a full moon, FYI.
