The Humminbird 500 series fits perfectly under the sonar shield. 

Prentice I suggest that you also check the rigged kayak and kayak fishing tips section,  you'll see tons of information that will help you install your fish finder.

Exhibita- thanks. Also where'd you get the piece your transducer wire goes through?

It came with my PiranahMax 170 - truth be told, it's a bit small.  By the time you drill out a hole big enough for the transducer plug, it BARELY covers.  Took a lot of goop to make me feel like it was really sealed.
