Lets face it, no one like to come home at the end of a long day only to have to deal with fishy bait stained fingers.  :smt009

On returning from my last dino trip my tips were rancid, beforehand I decided to make up my own cocktail bait sauce using just about everything stinky, pro cure, salmon roe, squid, shad tha'd make your eyes water  :smt010, and I thought the smell would never come off  :smt005

Well, I was on baby duty that particular night and scrubbed her up with Burt's Baby Bee Wash. And I am not kidding, the smell was gone! I mean gone, not masked, its outstanding,

so before that next date or special encounter getcha some, it works  :smt007

Are you kidding!!???  I love going to sleep at night breathing in that fragrance.  Plus, I always tell my son:  "Smell these fingers"

I've using toothpaste for years to get rid of heavy fishy smell, just rub em in and wash off.  Read about it somewhere tried it and works!  My wife gets really upset if I smell like old dead bait.

What about those fancy stainless steel soap bars?  http://www.merlinsbox.com/Magic-Soap-Stainless-Steel-Soap-Bar-p/11-02154.htm  I'm told they work!  Think they gave them out at the AOTY ceremony last year too.  Anyone try it???

I use a small scrub brush like the ones surgeons scrub with before surgery. So long as I'm thourough it seems to work with most soaps. Dish soap is usually the best. I've also done the same with lemon juice. That really works. My least favorite thing is having to smell bait while I'm eating. When I'm out on the boat I use those little pre packaged hand wipes. Not the sissy ones like the restaurants have but the good ones. They work pretty well. Then scrub well when I get home. Thanks for the tip about Burt's Baby Bee Wash. If I see it I'll give it a shot.
Never argue with an idiot. They'll just drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience.

I also heard that you should use cold water not hot, since hot opens up the pores and the fish oil can get in.

Good idea.  I'm going to drop some lemon juice into a pack of baby wipes and use that right after I fish from now on.  I hate the smell of bait when I'm trying to eat after a long day of fishing.
