Do you know how far any of those locations are from the launch?

Alviso may be the place to be on Saturday.  I just talked to a guy who has caught many big sturgeon and small stripers near the powerlines.  He suggested launching from Fremont.

The directions he gave me are.... take fwy 880... exit Mission and head west.... make a left at Fremont Blvd and go about 4 industrial blocks to the dead end.  He says he's seen others launch aluminum boats there.

Allen I'm gonna be picking up bait early saturday morning, last time I had a dozen mud shrimp die in my fridge (it may have been too cold for them).  Let me know if you want me to pick some up for you.
Bill, from the looks of most maps the slough is about 3 times longer than the distance accross the bay so they can't be too far.  I think it'll be an easy paddle.

Hey Guys

Here is another map of area.  The house is our launch point.  Tried to find out the location of the buoys but my nautical map ends before alviso. Looks like a decent paddle.  Not sure were we are going to launch from.  Laines is open 5am -10am on Saturday.

You can see the towers  at the mouth of Alviso Slough.  Art, are these the ones.  You can also see buoy's 20 and 18.    I'm thinking it's a 3-4 mile paddle to the towers.  Does that sound right?  And another 1+ miles to buoy 20.    That whole slough between the towers and 20 is 7-10 feet deep and that's where we want to be, right?
