Craig I will have one for demo later.  I will ot be going to Albion.  If Mooch or Allen are going one of them can certainly bring it up there.  I plan to have it at MBK derby mid-August

....oh, and it's OK, not OC.....LOL

per the tankwell/milkcrate question.  it would be a hassle with a crate. I rarely use a crate anymore, it clears the plano box with plenty of space to spare.

Might be a hassle moving that 30-pound halibut out of the way first, I should be so lucky.

It is definately different.

I took it out Tuesday after Mooch and said "no way am I gonna use a kayak with a motor"!

5 O'clock the next morning with one hell of a hangover and Alan knocking at my tent I grabbed the Torqoe and trolled for 3 hours  :smt044 :smt044 :smt044.

It was an experience, and I cought one small mouth for the day :smt010. I can see some people liking it and it paddled fair with the motor out. The fact that it has no rod pod,or rod holders pre installed at the $1,999 price tag and you have to purchase the battery and charger may slow people down.

I will stick with the Prowler line, but know there is a need for this kayak for certain people. I will say that the boat was used for 4+ hours Tuesdday and 3 hours Wednesday and was still at 60% battery life.

hope this helps

I'm for access for people with disabilities (like our under-appreciated Iraq War vets for example) to water and fishing. I was going to add caveats about this letting them get in over their heads and the motor malfunctioning, but then I realized able-bodied kayakers do that now so why discriminate. Like anything else, know the sea, know thyself and be very, very honest about what can go wrong and whether you can handle it. Safety in numbers. Bottom line: we need more fishers not fewer and if this helps increase our numbers (which means more numbers to fight restrictions and closing, etc.) then it's overall a good thing(tm).

FYI the OK Torque is available at Bass Pro Shops, go check it out if you want to see it in person.

Don't forget the yearly regestration for it.  If it has a motor it will require CF numbers to be ued in CA. fresh water lakes. (Not to sure about the ocean though)
