Site Trouble?????

I'm having trouble opening different threads, like Hydrospiders " 40+ miles and a C5 with Mariah..."

 I have no idea what's going on!!!    

 Anyway, is it just me, if so, looks like my Lap top is going down...

That thread is loaded with pictures so it might take sometime to display the page.  Just like us, it takes time to warm-up when it gets older 

What I've done a few times is to go back a page and then retry it.  Usually works.

Yeah, I've been getting a message like "unable to display..." and I hit the back button and it's on the right page...  Good luck.

Been trying all that, it's just getting worse... older....

Don, clear your "cache" and maybe defrag/optimize. If that doesn't work, may be time to up the memory (on the computer). 

If you watch the bottom of your screen, you will see the progress indicator, like "waiting for NCKA" or, more likely, waiting for one of those ad outfits that try to figure out what banner ads to display on your next page. Sometimes stopping the page loading and then clicking the Refresh button helps by getting around that particular ad outfit.

copy,  but it was saying..." Done... "  but it did load after a while like sailfish said, and I did do a Defrag, which looking at all those bars, they did do some rearraging...

 next is to clear the " Cache???? " have to figure out that one next..

It's not just you.  For a lot of the threads on the site I get intermittent load delays or inability to load the page at all, even though I can still load anything else on the web.  Usually just stop it and refresh and it works again.

If you use "Internet Explorer" then click on the "Tools" tab on top then select "Internet Options" from the pull down menu.  A new window will appear. Click on "Delete" to delete temporary files (cache files) then wait for it to finish clearing your cache.  Close the window after it done.

Thanks for the cache tutorial, never have done that...

 it's still acting up a bit though, never had this problem before,

 maybe defrag again after I've done the cache thingy, and I guess, look into memory...
