I spent a few hours yesterday rigging a clients boat.  We started with a non-angler T-13.

First mod included installing the Rod Pod.  Making a clean cut for this job isn't ez but I figured it out.  Next was the now standard dual duals in the rear...

Then we moved to the front.  We put two Scotty compacts between the Rod Pod and the Sonar Shield.  These can use Scotty products, or it can use RAM mounts with the offset adapters.  This setup is sweet...

Aw man, that is SWEET, Sean!

I'm already paving the way for my next kayak...the wife's birthday is this coming week, and I just spent 2K on a new scooter as her birthday gift.  (something she hinted about several months ago) :smt004  So when my birthday rolls around next month and she's wondering what sort of awesome gift she can give me...well, let's just say I'll be dropping a few hints of my own! (Anyone have any poster-size photos of a T-13 laying around?)  :smt005

Nice work Sean but you gotta come clean.  :smt003
What was the trick to cutting such a big hole for the rod pod?
I didn't know there was a ram mount adapter to fit the Scotty compacts.
Do they fit the flush mount holder too and where did you get them?
Super clean work. Love seeing a perfectly executed idea come together.

Hint: No regular saw, jig saw, or sawzall will work.  Rotozip won't work either...well they might work but it will look like a$$.  Getting a consistent reveal on he inside wall of a double wall with a floor is harder than I realized at first.

Nope, reciprocating blades wont work and a rotary bit makes too wobbly of a cut.  Not to mention .5 seconds of the wrong way with a rotary tool is bad jugu with yak plastic.

Keep guessing.

Steve-you should try a T-13 its is the perfect size for an all arounder.

You used a Zetz-9 Thermocutter.
The fishing was so good I thought I was there yesterday!
