Does Lake Mendo have a healthy population of crawfish?
If so, I have I crawfish trap I'd like to use to harvest the tasty critters.

Chuck-yes, but I've never tried it.  I know one area we could paddle to that would be a good bet.

I will be there Friday afternoon and will stay untill sunday morning.

I might bring the smoker along for some post tourney pulled pork if people would be into it.  I would just put the pork on before launch and we should be able to have nice pork sandwiches after the tourney.

What about night fishing? Can you paddle the lake at night or is it shore based only?

I pretty sure that was when Jelly and Sean where doing survey work on the shock boat so they had an official pass if you will.

I would love to do some night crappie fishing, my wife is always bugging me for some fried crappie.

I got the sample in yesterday, I need to adjust it a bit I think but I am going to run it by some people this weekend.

I should have the oval country code type stickers by then. Here is a sample of what they will look like, without all the rastering I hope  :smt001

I will certainly be fishing for catfish at night if the campsite is close enough to the water....
