Here, Joel is holding his fish correctly, while Fred is not.

Fred has a limit of 12 lb salmon.  While Mooch is holding a 10lber.  Its amazing what the right angle and pose can do for a fish.

My buddy Levi is the master of the "Fish Sniffer" pose.  I've actaully seen pictures of him fishing when he was about 8 yrs old and he always holds the fish the same and has the same look on his face.

This first fish weighs about 12 oz but looks like 4 lbs

This is a decent ling (18lbs) but it looks much bigger than the 24 lber I won Elk with just because of how he holds it.

Levi makes this 8 lb salmon look huge....

okay, okay that was decent fish and it really about 20lbs.

This halibut was 21 lbs and it actually looks it because he wasn't able to hold it out.

Not sure if its a 19.7lb trout, but damn he's ugly and got some BIG fingers.  Doesn't do the fish justice.

Erik,
Nice fish.  That one looks bigger than 25.

Joel,
You've got some big thumbs too.  As well as hobbit feet.  You must have done some side jobs for Lord of the Rings.

OK, Levi is the fish sniffer master.  Love the ling cod pose.
Mooch, you get second place.

Why bother mastering the "Fish Sniffer" pose when you have digital photographs and photoshop.

My 24 lb ling just became 42 lbs.

Wait, that didn't seem big enough.

Here how's this...

I'm guessing my fish now holds a world record at 74 lbs.

I was going to post it on the sniffer!  Kayak attacked by massive ling, kayaker gaffs hitchhiker ling while it was attached to kayak.....life or death struggle. 2 ounces shy of world record. Angler cited for illegal take of gamefish.....etc

That is awesome.

Good news!

Pork came of the smoker and pulled beautifully.  Like Buttah!

As predicted, 5# of bone in shoulder cooked down to 3.1# of pulled pork.

Still, plenty of sandwiches and I have two choices of sauces to put on it.

Brian has WAY too much time on his hands.  Hey Brian you should write a post on how to fudge your fish photos.   :smt018.
