Non-fish outing 1/1/09, sc harbor to natty bridges

Laura & I had a relatively quiet new year's eve as she has said she wanted to do some kayaking on the 1st. (Time for me to bank some WAF!)
We got OTW about 9am, and paddle up the coast to Natural Bridges. Conditions were gray & cool, but not windy. Lots of marine mammals of various types were observed. We stopped off in one of the kelp beds for some turban snail & isopod examination.

On the way in there were a trio of folks in a little outboard powered inflatable who told us we were "savage". How could I not think of NCKA?
To add to that, when we took out at the human powered launch ramp there was a silver honda accord with an NCKA sticker parked next to my pickup. Who was that?

We stopped off at Upper Crust pizza to celebrate the new year & a fun 8 mile paddle.
