OK i know people are going to say "why do you want to remove a logo, cause you stole it?"  If that was the case i wouldnt be posting pics all over this page and meeting people from this page and whatnot. Now with that said,  Is there a safe way to remove the malibu logo on the side of the mini x?  Me and my friend designed a little logo of our own supporting Kayak angling, and we'd like to place that where the logo is.  I have seen some people just paint over them but I;d rather just remove it.

Any info and help is always appreciated!

The logo is actually embedded into the plastic and is plastic itself. They get put on in the molding process. No real way to remove it short of sanding it off, and that would not be a good idea.

Sand it REAL good and fine and prime it with alcohol or H20 base primer, finish with elastomeric latex for your base, mask and use any latex spray for your graphics, dont use any oil as it is way too brittle and wont contract and expand with the plastic and will crack.. One of the yakers at mbk turny had a flying tiger design on his bow that was put on with a spray can and has been in great shape for a while. But he sanded it good first.

well i ended up painting over the log, I used fusion plastic paints and triple clear coat for plastics to cover it all, had some stickers made to throw on the black before the coat it turned out nicely it looks a lot better in person then the pics make it look, it looks all bumpy and way to glossy in the pics.

That looks great! I just don't want to be around you on the first day that you scratch your new logo. I can just imagine you talking like a truck driver.  :smt005

CHEERS!

cant blame you for wanting to change the logo. The surf board shape ruins the lines of their boats.
I always thought the 4.4 was one sexy beast except for that logo killing the visual.
looks great

hahah thanks for all the comments.  I took it out today and got the first scratch !!! :smt013 :smt010 :smt009  but it really wasnt that bad it was just a little mark and you can only see it when you realllly look close, my lady was like "war wounds right?" I knew i loved her for a reason.  Other than that it was a shitty day I losta motorola walkie talkie to the river and my paddle holder snapped for no apparent reason?  surf to summit your paddle holders suck I just got it too.  Worst Of all I saw some of the biggest trout ever swimming all around me and not one ended up in my bucket  :smt010.  maybe next time.
