The road to the SC harbor will close at 8 AM due to the wharf to wharf race. It re-opens at 10 AM. Capitola is closed from 5 AM until 11:30 AM.

I figure I'll have been fishing for 1.5 hours by 8am.......

Wish I read this hookup earlier. We're renting a house next to the marina. I brought some fishing gear, but no kayak. I saw one kayaker with gear sitting in his car at the ramp around 7:30am.

We watched the race at the turn near the Crows Nest this morning. It was an amazing sight watching all those people run by.

I am getting very excited about our fishing safari,,,(Fishari?) coming up in 3 weeks now.  Maybe need to rewrite that BB song with some new words.

You guys still thinking of going out Thursday 7/31/08 from the SC Harbor?  I think I can locate the essentials in this remodel mess, and I need some therapy.  Can help unload, load.  What time?  Which launch - the one near the bridge?    Tom
