Allen,

The road to the SC harbor will close at 8 AM due to the wharf to wharf race. It re-opens at 10 AM. Capitola is closed from 5 AM until 11:30 AM.

Wish I read this hookup earlier. We're renting a house next to the marina. I brought some fishing gear, but no kayak. I saw one kayaker with gear sitting in his car at the ramp around 7:30am.

We watched the race at the turn near the Crows Nest this morning. It was an amazing sight watching all those people run by.

Frank, you going to be down here in SC again?  Let me know, I will bring some home-brew down to you (that's COFFEE, folks.....)

I am getting very excited about our fishing safari,,,(Fishari?) coming up in 3 weeks now.  Maybe need to rewrite that BB song with some new words.

"Let's go fishing now,
Everybody's learning how,
Yakkin' on fishari with me....."

OK, inspired, here goes:

Early in the morning we'll be launching our yaks
And pickin' up some bait in the bay
We're loading up our kayaks
With our rods inside
And headin' out for limits today

Come on (fishin') baby wait and see (yakkin' fishari)
Yes I'm gonna (fishin') take you fishin' (yakkin' fishari)with me
Come along (fishin') baby wait and see (yakkin' fishari)
Yes I'm gonna (fishin') take you fishin' (yakkin' fishari)with me

Let's go fishin' now
Everybody's learning how
Yakkin' on fishari with me
(Yakkin' on fishari with...)

At Stillwater and Bean Hollow
They're jiggin' up cabs
Montezuma has a load of dinos
I said we're going on fishari to Hueneme this year
So if you're coming get ready to go

Come on (fishin') baby wait and see (yakkin' fishari)
Yes I'm gonna (fishin') take you fishin' (yakkin' fishari)with me
Come along (fishin') baby wait and see (yakkin' fishari)
Yes I'm gonna (fishin') take you fishin' (yakkin' fishari)with me

Let's go fishin' now
Everybody's learning how
Yakkin' on fishari with me
(Yakkin' on fishari with...)

(Blazing lead by Guitarzan goes here)

There's flatties at the Rockwall
and in Santa Cruz
And stripers at the Rockpile too
I tell you kayak fishing is mighty wild
From Hawaii to the shores of Mugu

Come on (fishin') baby wait and see (yakkin' fishari)
Yes I'm gonna (fishin') take you fishin' (yakkin' fishari)with me
Come along (fishin') baby wait and see (yakkin' fishari)
Yes I'm gonna (fishin') take you fishin' (yakkin' fishari)with me

Let's go fishin' now
Everybody's learning how
Yakkin' on fishari with me
(Yakkin' on fishari with...)

With me
Yakkin' Fishari
With me
Yakkin' Fishari
With me
Yakkin' Fishari
With me
Yakkin' Fishari
With me
Yakkin' Fishari
With me
Yakkin' Fishari
With me
Yakkin' Fishari

Look for the Mp3 next LOL

I'll play rythm guitar... guitarzan can play lead... Allen can play a bongo (just one bongo because of his bad arm)... we need a base player and a hottie on the tamborine and we've got ourselves a band.  Great lyrics!

Yeah, I can strap on the straocaster for this one.

Also have an bass and a vintage bassman amp, so the sound would be about right.

What'd Sly say  ".....all we need is a drummer......"

LOL

You guys still thinking of going out Thursday 7/31/08 from the SC Harbor?  I think I can locate the essentials in this remodel mess, and I need some therapy.  Can help unload, load.  What time?  Which launch - the one near the bridge?    Tom

Tom,

A bunch of us are going out Thursday morning. Here's the thread: http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php/topic,14060.15.html

I'll probably get there after Allen is already on the water.
