This Saturday evening 6-9pm the park is holding it's monthly "Full Moon Madness"  There are docents that take folks on walks through the redwoods and tell stories of how the park came to be, who stayed in the park etc...  Usually there are people giving talks about the night sky's both inside the visitors center and outside, and, the park has set up their tiny 3" refractor telescope for the public to view objects that were discussed in teh talks, but sadly the parks telescope is missing parts, so I'll be setting up my 20" telescope instead.
The full moon will be visable and as it gets dark will obscure most of the night sky, Jupiter will be visable and although the moon will be bright, the 20" telescope will still be able to see other objects.
I'll be setting up the scope around 8pm, near the park entrance kiosk.

If your up in SC county Saturday evening, stop by the Henry Cowell state park (Hwy 9 south in Felton) Have a look at the moon or other Celestial objects!
Hopefully the coastal fog (and smoke ) won't come in and close off the sky!
