Hit the water late this morning, 9:30am. Off the water at 1:15pm. Beautiful day, a little windy at times. Had the slough to myself, didn't see another person the entire time. Tide was going out when I arrived and the fishing was slow. I wasn't in any hurry, so I took my time and enjoyed life.

Al

Here's some pics:

Views of the slough.

Saw more turtles than I've ever seen in one day. They were swimming around me and sunning on the fallen trees.

Stopped to check out the wild flowers along the bank.

Had a reoccurring encounter with a raccoon. Strange to see this one wandering the waterline during the day.

The ramp. The old boat in the back was submerged when I arrived.

And I caught a fish. Just one. That's all I needed.

Where's the zen-yogi in a lotus emoticon?   This report has me feeling peaceful and content.

Nice one, Al.

Way to stop and smell (or at least look at) the roses!
