I read that land-locked kings are being caught at Folsom.  I've changed this report because a friend told me that a certain other board doesn't allow references/links to their posts...  (thanks, friend!)   :smt001

Why don't you guys go get those kings?

In a quest to get more info on who's doing what, I've tried 3 days in a row to register on Fullspeed and keep getting the message that registration is disabled or something like that anybody know anything about that?

Interesting subject, my neighbor directly accross the street has brought home kings from Folsom 2 weekends in a row. He's done OK but only brought home 1 each time.

Cute little king salmon maybe 18 inches, black gums and all.

Since dragging all that metal thru the water for such little fish doesn't appeal to me, I haven't asked for details....

as for fullspeed, I'll keep trying, there's a guy on there who says he catches sizable 7 gill sharks from shore. I want to contact him to see if I can get some info on that, I wanna do it from a yak....

I thoughtaboutit for today, but opted for a sturgeon hunt instead.

that kind of fishing is new to me and have avoided it like the plauge.

Have a feeling I'm going to have to learn though :smt011

Essentially you are just trout fishing.  I've never fished Folsom, but a couple central valley reservoirs have kokes and kings and for the most part they can be had with conventional trout trolling gear.  Some also troll some rolled shad.  I'm sure some have little nuances, but for the most part, you're just trolling for trout.

Check out the recent folsom threads under the koke board on the fishsniffer. Let me know if anyone wants to head up for a killer day of trolling.
