My T140 and review

Finally went and bought a new yak, decided to go with the WS T140. After upgrading from a 10 foot recreational sit inside, this was luxury for me being 6'3" and 260 pounds. For starters, getting into it from a rock levee was a piece of cake especially with the white caps beating on the shore. It tracked very well in the wind in each direction. Definitely a lot faster than my old kayak.

Ok now for my dislikes. I have not yet bought scupper plugs yet, so the 1" inch of water was very annoying trying not to get  wet. Even though I was in shorts and water shoes in this nice weather today. But if I had pants and tennis shoes on I would have been miserable. Definitely a good idea to buy plugs for delta, lake fishing. Even though summer time it would be nice to be barefoot and have a little cool water in the yak  . Thats about my only dislike.

One change I will make to it is I am going to remove the front bungee that is used to hold down gear, because I snagged my hook on it a few times, lol.

Hey Jeff,

Nice boat.  I've got a 120 and have been wanting to upgrade to a 140 for a while now.  I plugged my scuppers with the foam practice golf balls, common at sporting goods stores.  Drill a hole in em', add a short pull string and you can remove anytime you want.  Had them for 3 years without issue.  (not my idea, but helped me out)

I have been really happy with my tarpon 140.

Has anyone else noticed that if you lean to the left, the kayak turns right and if you lean to the right, it turns left?  This seemed backwards to me.
