Mendo?

 Hey Sean & Mendocino Co. folks - How's Mend lookin these days? When do you think it might start up with the stripers?  Tom

I was thinking the same thing... i think it is a little cold and early yet, but wont be too long now!

YUCK! It's brown and full of debris. We need a good hot spell to make the silt drop out of the water before the striper action will start up again. Hopefully within a couple of weeks, but it's likely to be more than a month.

  that is the unfortunate thing about lake mendo... it gets sooooo low every year that when it rains it just turns into a big 'ol mud hole... which also screws up steelhead fishing on the russian... every time they open the dam a bit, the river gets blown out muddy.

I TRULY MISS MENDO!!! Had a lot of fun fishing and camping at mendo last year with the gang such as = Sean & the "mendo crew",mickfish,fish hunter, guitarzan,mako,rock hopper,shark attack Dan,hydro spider.....good times!! Hope to do it all over again this year

I know...that's too far away.  When the Mendo water gets good, maybe can do a major Mendo weekend hookup?  Mmm...Man Dogs!

That is a total bummer.  I have spring break the week following Easter (March 24-28) and was looking at a 2 day trip.  One day at Clear Lake and one at Mendo.  I may still do it, what the hell.  Anybody interested?  I was thinking middle of the week to avoid crowds but nothing is set in stone.
