Everyone has a favorite place to stop when they are fishing a certain body of water.
Last weekend at Clear Lake Terry introduced me to Richmond Bar and Grill. My new favorite place at CL.
If you fish Folsom or Negro Bar I recomment Manderes at 402 E. Bidwell. You aren't going to paddle right up to it like Richmond, but it is worth a stop.
Good food and 120, that's right, 120 different micro brews to choose from. A place like this will definitely help take that Folsom skunk off of you.
Where is your favorite place???

In the Santa Cruz harbor, The Crow's Nest. Good food, and you can walk there from the parking lot near the launch area. If you launch from the west side of the harbor, Aldo's is pretty good.

La Cabana taqueria on the Westside (super carne asada or chicken with a negro modelo). It's usually right on the way home from fishing north SC. In the harbor area I like the Harbor Cafe on 7th. The Davenport bakery is also a favorite stop.
Can you tell I don't get to eat out much?

I forgot to mention the mandatory stop in the way to Elk or Van Damme.
The Burger Ranch in Cloverdale just before you begin the turn onto 128.
Their Turkey burger cannot be beat.

the taqueria at linda mar next to the pizzeria and norcal surf shop is pretty good.  cold beers too.   is it too soon to hope for a salmon invasion there this summer?

another spot i like is coming home from san pablo bay on a sunday is to exit the 80 at university in berkeley and then head uphill, make a right at san pablo and hit the free bbq and $4.00 tall cans of PBR at ACME bar 1 block on the left.  If the bbq is gone, there is a lane splitter pizza place a block away that is great also.

also cant forget to mention the half moon bay taqueria on the 1 that we would hit after rockfishing.  Great tacos and chips and salsa.  The place actually works pretty well for a group.

RG Burgers in The Crossroads in Carmel. Great place to stop after a day of rockfishing.

The Whole Enchilada in Moss Landing is one of my favorite restaurants. The Enchiladas Adobadas are the bomb: dungeness crab enchiladas w/chipotle lobster sauce. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
