Howdy All,

Just wondering how folks are fairing in the current storm. The brunt seems to just now be passing here in Mendocino, 7:30 am.  I just went out and checked for damage. No damage to our place, except one damp cat, but my good neighbors' old shed looks like a bomb hit it. 

I can't believe it, but the power is still on here.  I guess the January storm already culled the weaker trees.

Anyway, just hoping everyone's okay.  -Matt

Power went out last night. Now back on this AM (9:15) Got tired of the snow. Had about 2" last night. The last storm we had a foot and it stayed around for about a week. And I only live in Cobb Mtn. about 25 mins from Clear Lake. Some tree's down around but not as many as can be. The good thing for all of this is the rivers are up, the lakes are up, and the fishing should be good the rest of the year.

Little rain and short gusts of wind in the Peninsula today (1:45PM)...nothing compared to what we had before.

This storm is bunk. Went to all 3 breaks on Clear Lake and there was zero surf.

Rain + Economy / Carpenter = no fishing, no snow boarding, no sushi dinners, no new tackle.  Oh well, could be worse.  This storm was all hype, I do like the fierce winds at night though.  Kinda eerie.

Well, the storm wasn't hype here in Mendocino, but not like the January storms.

It turned out to be an averagish rain storm up here...  Not alot of wind to speak of, and I only got about an inch of precip all week.  Hype isn't the word I'd use - the storm track somehow setup so that the fiercest part of the past three storms occured offshore rather than as they hit the coast.  If that storm would've hit us when it had the well-defined comma shape of two days ago we'd be digging out...

Honeydew, like places such as Kentfield and Boulder Creek, gets more rain than other places nearby and showed why it's called a rainforest - I think 5" is the highest 24 hour total in all of California for the last few days.  And, for what it's worth, I think the Leggett guage is wrong - lately it's been way lower than everything around it.
