Well, I was kind of disappointed at the ISE this time here at San Mateo.   I remember past expos where all the booth spaces were taken, there were cab-over campers, trailers out side, and all the buildings were full of exhibitors.  It seems to shrink smaller each year.  This didn't stop me from dropping some $$  though.  (Just didn't have to walk as far)
Bumped into Mooch in one of the paths looking for the DGF booth, and got my Hook1 stickers and camera cozy (Thanks again Joel)  Made my way eventually to the Hobie corner, and chatted briefly with the booth guy, (ChuckE hadn't arrived yet)

Mooch, there were some corndogs there that can give your "Man dog's" a spankin!  These darn things were over a foot long!  They had 1/4" Bambi rods holding the yummies on!  "Monster CornDogs!  Yum....

While walking past the bass pro demonstration tank, the bas pro up on the stand had Hooked a fat LMB in the belly with a big crank bait!   What was he thinking!  Remove the darn hooks buddy! (Big treble hook)  Might not have s=been so bad had he hooked it normally, but he somehow snagged the guy wrong!  Oh well.
Never been to an ISE in Sac. maybe that show will be bigger.

Did come home with another small rod, the 2.6' Ugly stik and had to get a small reel for it so I got a tiny UL Fluggler spin reel for it. Also, got my new fish license, and renewed my Fish Sniffer for 2yrs.

It was nice seeing some old faces and new ones at the ISE...and I have to agree with Troy, the show seems smaller compared to how it was in the past years  :smt011

Allen Bushnell (repping for Ocean Kayaks) and Chuck (Hobie) did a great job recruiting more people on the NCKA site. I'm sure you will all notice more new names in the next few days. Anyway, thanks to Chuck and Allen for getting the word out.

This was my favorite part of the show.....man dogs and corn dogs in gigantic proportions...yum!

What time were you all there?  I arrived at noon and left at about 3:30.  I've only been to the ISE one other time, 2 years ago, and I agree with the others, this seemed smaller than the last.  Oh well, fun none the less.  Limited the damage to $43.

A $50.00 spring loaded pocket knife is all I got (plus the $11.00 man dog and fries :smt011)....it's a miracle that I did not spend more :smt002
