I'm not familiar with the salt water species...what kind of fish is that (I know its not a Halibut)?

I'm assuming it was bait for a bigger fish.

Looks to me like a walleye surfperch.

I would say the card is only 95% full, my current salmon is hopefully just a place holder...  but it sure felt good to get a legal halibut, it took a few trips and a little help from some of my friends and a whole lotta good times!  It is always great fishing with new and oh so familiar faces...

Paradise felt fishy both days and I saw lots of fish caught and I had a few strikes on the monster bait, but only stuck one at 25", and oh yes it was on the Kunz Stick!!!!

Nothing felt right at Tomales and it seldom does for me, I dunno what it is about that place... I did catch a dungeness and what I think was about a 5" lingcod while trying to make bait!  I was amazed by the size of the teeth on it already.  Came out of the eel grass to hit my sabiki.

Thanks to Naoaki for lending me his hawg trough to make the catch official and for taking some great pics!

And of course to Adam for the sustenance and entertainment.

No butts for me again... :smt012  I tried hard even after the wind picked up...  They're everywhere but I can't get to them.  The commercial guy was hooking them up left to right in front of me & I don't know how many he got.   the big cow boat (Morning star) hooked five of them right behind me... :smt010   I was the last one to get out of the water but none for me...
There were lots of people at Paradise beach park, so I had to dodge bunch of people to going up on the hill.  When I got up to the parking lot everyone was waiting for me for the bad news.  The truck tire was flat and it wasn't my car (of course Jim's)... :smt009  the good thing was I with the NCKA finest (Allen, Patrick, Adam, Ben, & Jay) so everybody went out their way to help me!   After I find out the there are some tools were missing for the truck, Allen offer me the AAA service (thank you so much, Allen!).  and while I was waiting for the AAA, Allen brought me back Adam's killer chill mess dog & it was so good! :smt045  Ben helped fill up the air on the little dough nut (might be smaller then wheeleez)...
Another great NCKA adventure & thank you everyone!

Did you have to drive 55 all the way home?  that sucked!
I was able to find the tire repair place in town, so went home smooth & safe.

& Patrick that's actually a baby lingcod!!!

Pic of Patrick measuring his catch (congrats scoring devil's fish)!
& the sad tire...
