Does anyone have recommendations for finding an accurate weather report besides forecast temp. and precipitation? Is there a reliable website that has more detailed forecasts for wind in specific areas?  I can never tell from the regular weather report if it is going to be windy or not.

My favorite go to site is Weather Underground, http://wunderground.com

The standard forecast is well standard but they have all these personal weather stations online as well.

You like this page for Half Moon Bay

http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findweather/getForecast?query=half+moon+bay%2Cca

Then scroll down and find this weather station right at the harbor:

I think these are the best for assessing real time wind conditions before leaving the house.

Thanks Bill,
I want to get out on the delta more, and this will help.  I am intimidated by the wind combined with current and tide.  I am used to Del Valle: The wind is almost always coming from the dam.  If you fish towards the dam, you have an easy paddle back in the afternoon.  Plus you can't get lost or pulled around by tide/current.  If I plan a trip out on the delta when there is little or no wind, I can figure out the tides.

Weather Underground is pretty good, and I also like this one, it seems to be fairly accurate:
