we were in the backyard having some beers last night and when we were going back in the house I see my dog laying in the doorway looking in and vigorously wagging his tail. I thought somebody came over and was sitting in the house alone, but it ended up being a cat and it was laying in my dog's bed. I walked over to it to shew it out of the house and it got all defensive. This excited my 135lbs. rot and he wanted to play. Well that just pissed the cat off even more. So I got the dog away and the cat went running into my room. I tried prodding it with my foot and it got all agro and I was wearing sandals and shorts, so I needed a tool for the job. I looked over and saw my Kunz gaff and my net. Well, I was feeling nice so I grabbed the net. Nice easy scoop job and I swear the cat even kinda liked it in there. Clean release outside. Ended up at about 28" maybe 8lbs. Sorry no pics.

I'm sure your rottie would have had some fun with it! Although, the mess the both of them might have made probably wouldn't be fun to clean up.
